the heart of my writing

I write to honour the mess, the magic, and the meaning in everyday life—especially in the places most people don’t see. As a nurse for over four decades, I’ve walked hospital corridors filled with laughter, heartbreak, chaos, and courage. My writing captures those moments with humour, empathy, and honesty—celebrating the resilience of people who show up, care deeply, and keep going.

My stories come from the bedside and the break room, the linen cupboard and the code blue, the quiet grief and unexpected joy. They are love letters to nurses, patients, families—and to anyone who’s ever carried on when it was hard to.

This isn’t just memoir. It’s memory, meaning, and mischief—with a generous dose of humanity.
